In this episode of the Fandomania: Geek Music podcast, I talk to Juliana Finch. She’s promoting her upcoming album which she’s funding through Kickstarter. I was introduced to Juliana by Angela from the Doubleclicks since she is now recording on Doubleclicks Records. Although her music is not particularly geeky, she is definitely one of us. Be sure to check out her music then go back the Kickstarter.

Songs played in the show:

  • “Nasty Weather”
  • “Anti-Socialize”
  • “This Is Just the Start”

In this episode of the Fandomania: Geek Music podcast, I talk again to Greg and Steve from Lipstick. Although Lipstick II came out back in January, we hadn’t yet talked about it for the podcast. It’s a much geekier album than their debut, something which might have been polarizing out in the larger music community (as we talked about in the episode), but I suspect won’t be here!

Songs played in the show:

  • “Fake Nerd Girl”
  • “Cha La Head Cha La”
  • “Lipstick Encourages You to Have Fun at Our Shows but Not at the Expense of Other Concert Goers”

In this episode of the Fandomania: Geek Music podcast, I talk again to Baba Brinkman. His latest release is The Rap Guide to Consciousness. Like all of his rap guides, it’s highly informative while also being entertaining. Check them out and learn something (unless you’re a p-zombie, of course)!

Songs played in the show:

  • “Good Bayesian (feat. MC Lars and Mega Ran)”
  • “Ready for Implants”
  • “Zombie”

In this episode of the Fandomania: Geek Music podcast, I talk to Mike Bryant of Kraken Not Stirred. His latest release is the Robots vs. Monsters EP, but you should also check out his YouTube channel for “more of this sort of foolishness.”

Songs played in the show:

  • “Make Way for the Singularity”
  • “I’ve Been in this Fight Since I Was Six Years Old”
  • “Dragons Are Cool”
